B45 Winter Clean Up: Great Park 2

Back out around Great Park this afternoon for a litter pick with our fantastic Morrisons Community Champion Jane Williams and my colleague Cllr Adrian Delaney.

It’s getting especially bad around the 49 bus stop outside Empire Cinemas and what’s more disheartening is the absolute state of the back of Morrisons again after all the work we did over the summer to keep it clean.

I’ve spoken to the manager of Hollywood Bowl who were very friendly and said they would do a clean up of their car park, we made a start for them but it’s their responsibility really.

Finally, I decided to take our Jane for a pint in the Brewers Fayre after her shift to say thank you for everything she does! The staff here are always are incredible, shout out to Richard and Shelby for making us feel so welcome!

We all know Birmingham City Council are hopeless at keeping our streets clean and it’s clear now that collective action is required. I’m currently in talks with a few local businesses about some ideas. Watch this space… #FrankleyForward
