Your local Labour MP Richard Burden has candidly wrote in the Birmingham Mail that he openly supports a second EU referendum, and that he would STILL vote to remain in the EU. Despite his own constituency (that’s you) voting overwhelming to leave the EU in 2016.
Frankley, Longbridge and, Northfield voted by almost double to leave over remain in 2016. The old Longbridge ward (that included Frankley) Voted 8157 to leave over just 4269 to remain, while Northfield voted 8151 to leave, over 5005 to remain. A huge upset to the establishment!
Since then, your local Conservative Councillors have been defending your decision at Birmingham City Council and continue to debunk the scare stories and project fear being spread around Brexit. Standing up for the interest of working class people and making headlines doing so.
Andy Street, the West Midlands Mayor, has also gone on record saying there should be no second referendum. “I am a firm believer that we have to deliver Brexit, that’s what the people of this region voted for.”
However, the Labour run Birmingham City Council have gone against this, voting through a motion supporting a second referendum, showing complete and utter contempt for working class people, while using condescending remarks like “people didn’t know what they voted for.”
You are being betrayed by the Labour Party, while your Labour MP has turned his back on your big vote! So tell your family and friends, that come the next election, YOU MUST NEVER VOTE LABOUR AGAIN!
