What a day! Rallying at high speed, drifting, karting and even skateboarding around the UK’s only purpose built skate ring.
Just one problem…. the Labour run City Council are planning to bull doze this historic motorsport venue and sell it off to warehouse developers!
This site was opened in 1977, covers 37 acres of land and has fostered over 44 years of motoring greatness. It’s created racing super stars, it’s a place to learn new skills, it keeps kids off the streets and prevents boy racing / street cruising!
Loosing this venue would not only be an act of spotting and cultural vandalism for our proud motor city, but it would be a gigantic waste of tax payers money as the Council are legally obliged to relocate the site. It’s madness!
When we said this Council has an anti-car agenda, we mean it! I want to thank the team for inviting me out today to see the amazing facilities and I will do everything I can to fight for this iconic landmark for Birmingham!
If you haven’t been there, GO!! It’s amazing and expect a video next week on how you can support the campaign to save it but in the meantime, share this post and let’s do our best to
