OPERATION EAGLE: Cllr Simon Morrall Chairs Emergency Meeting!

February 2021

COVID UPDATE : 13TH February 🚨
For those who missed the meeting last week, you can re watch it online at https://youtu.be/MPuveEqK6lw It’s the weekend now so please find some time to watch the briefing and get a test ASAP if you haven’t already.
We will be arranging a follow up meeting for the tail end of next week to brief citizens on what has happened and working to confirm with DHSC the formal close down thresholds.
The door to door team will be making a second sweep of residences in the area over the weekend and early next week.
Well done to everyone who has taken a test so far, we are doing exceptionally well and I am so proud of you all!
👇 GUIDELINES BELOW: 👇
For people with no coronavirus symptoms
◾️ You can visit the Drive/walkthrough testing site on Bristol Rd South, opposite Longbridge Lane / Bournville College. Open 8am to 4pm every day.
◾️ Home testing kits are available for collection at Hollymoor Centre, 8 Manor Park Grove. The site is behind the church and to the right of the nursery. You must drop the test back within 24 hours for collection. Collections are available from 8am to 6pm, and returns from 8am to 5pm every day.
◾️ We are working with local businesses to make testing available for staff in workplaces and employers are being written to this week.
◾️ It is important people test through these designated sites because the samples are sent back to a specific laboratory for analysis and individuals should get their results within 48 hours.
You can find full details on the council website here: https://cutt.ly/fkxvH3S
For people with coronavirus symptoms:
You should stay at home and get a free NHS test to check if you have coronavirus. https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or call 119
If a person tests positive, has symptoms, or contact traced with someone who tests positive, they should self-isolate immediately.
There is currently no evidence to suggest this variant is more serious than others, or that the regulated vaccine would not protect against it.
