I promised that I would fight for road safety measures on Holly Hill Road and we’re done it!
The Conservative group had money set aside in our manifesto especially for road safety in Frankley, but unfortunately we dint take control of the council.
Once again, people told me this couldn’t be done, saying my predecessor worked hard on a petition, for campaign was rejected by the council officers.
But thanks to a more aggressive approach I have managed to get highway to carry the budget forward to next year, meaning we can afford to install chicanes on Holly Hill instead of road bumps.
The only way this couldn’t go ahead is if the Labour administration decide to scrap it in the budget next year. Otherwise, plans are going to consultation.
IF YOU DONT ASK, YOU DONT GET!
