Two years ago, residents of Frankley, Hollymoor & Great Park elected me to represent them on Birmingham City Council. I won 3/4 polling districts and drew the fourth, in a ‘Labour area’ that most said the Tories couldn’t win. I’ve spent every day making it count. Here’s just some of our achievements:
➡️ Donated some of my Councillor allowance to a male suicide charity and ran the half marathon.
➡️ Achieved a suicide prevention strategy at City Council following my maiden speech.
➡️ Supported the Armed Forces covenant by seconding a motion on veterans mental health.
➡️ Got the 61 bus route returned to the back of Frankley after a long & aggressive campaign.
➡️ Achieved road safety measures on Holly Hill Road which have now been installed after Labour failed.
➡️ Saved the Hollymoor Centre from closure after it was at risk of being sold off by the Labour Council.
➡️ Setup the first-ever Frankley Skills Show and lobbied the Council for a media strategy on skills.
➡️ Brought the West Midlands Mayor to Frankley multiple times and opened Balaam Wood Academy.
➡️ Frankley was the top 4th ward for youth unemployment. By 2020 it was no longer in the top 10.
➡️ Sit on a cross-party working group to lobby more funding and devolution powers to local groups.
➡️ Launched a ‘private security’ campaign to force the Labour PCC into action on policing.
➡️ Campaigned against the Waseley Crematorium and held the Council to account for lack of action.
➡️ Been on the front line of the Covid-19 response delivering food parcels and supporting local groups.
➡️ Solved hundreds of pieces of casework and continued to make site visits where possible.
➡️ Paid for all my own newsletters and hand-delivered them to every household across the ward.
➡️ Consistently stood up for Brexit, famously ‘putting my money where my mouth is’ with a £20 bet on committee.
➡️ Finally, after 27 years, we kicked out the Labour MP, winning every polling district in Frankley; the first time the Conservatives have EVER done so during a general election. I am incredibly proud and thankful for this achievement and I will continue to serve you all year round.
The Labour Party thought they owned places like Frankley. They took your votes for granted for generations. Nothing angers them more than your continued support for a working class Tory. Thank You! ❤️❤️
Conservatives move #FRANKLEYFORWARD.
