Following a letter I put out complaining about the fact that Labour had canceled a publicity clean up weeks before a local election. I received a phone call from members of the Leys allotments, asking me to join them for a community clean down the lanes on Monday 9th April 2018. As this was a community event, I wanted to pay credit to the folks over at the Leys allotments, the Frankley Street Champions and the Parish Councillors, it’s been an absolute pleasure.
This is the third time I’ve been down there and we more numbers, we managed to do a better job then I would of alone. We even got into the weeds this time as one of the guys from the allotments had a rake, making it easier to remove the old bags that have been soiled into the ground for some time.
Now, let’s try our best as a community to keep it tidy please
